The first consultation at U-Clinic

The introduction to U-Clinic – the first consultation – is a real eye opener for many people. That starts with the fact that we have minimal waiting times. In most cases you can contact us within two weeks. And when you arrive at the clinic, you can walk straight through at the agreed time. Your first real conversation at U-Clinic is always with the treating surgeon, who will gladly take plenty of time for you.

Working together on your healing

At U-Clinic, the specialist does the complete treatment himself, from the first consultation to the aftercare. This creates a personal relationship with benefits for both the surgeon and the patient. For the specialist, the work becomes more human again. He or she is no longer only involved in routine actions, but has one-on-one contact. This also improves the quality of the result. After all, you can immediately explain to the treating surgeon what you are feeling and how you are doing, without filtering the assistants. Conversely, you will also receive clear explanations about your own role in the healing process. You are really jointly responsible for the result. We therefore speak of ‘Co-creation’.

How does the first consultation work?

You discuss your complaints with the specialist on the basis of a pre-completed form. This will examine you immediately. If it is a minor procedure, the doctor may be able to help you on the spot. If not, the doctor will draw up a treatment plan with you. He or she can also tell you immediately whether the procedure will be reimbursed. So you know exactly where you stand. If a treatment plan is agreed upon, the assistant will further finalize the appointments. You can always contact her with practical questions. Not only on the spot, but also later, by telephone or e-mail.

The compensation

The first consultation is always reimbursed by the health insurer, although insurers apply a deductible. Whether the further treatment is reimbursed depends on various factors. It also depends on whether there is a medical reason for the procedure. A more cosmetic treatment is often not reimbursed.

  • your ID
